« on: November 22, 2012, 10:55:31 AM »
12 Hole Aria, Designed by STL's very own OcarinaDiva!

Sound Sample by Designer
STL is proud to present an ocarina designed by the winner of our first Star Search Competition, Cris Gale.

This ocarina is tuned to the key of G and has a range of 13 notes. It also has the capability of performing sharps and flats.

We have included an instructional booklet, as well as our new songbook, Songs by John Dowland, with this ocarina.
If you would like to have other songbooks instead, simple leave a note at the "comment " section when you check out.
We'll be happy to switch them for you.

So I just got my Aria Alto G today, and I must say, I'm really pleased w/ it. It plays very nicely, not to shrill. The ergonomics, especially the tail, are fantastic. The are small indents around the finger holes. The glaze doesn't have any crazing(the decorative cracks in the glaze) in it. Would anyone else like to share their thoughts on it?

So I just threw(figurative speaking...) my Aria into my carry on bag to take with me. It's well packed, however, if it breaks, it'd be the easiest in my collection to replace. It has the least sentimental value out of all the ocarinas I actually play.

Are you planning on wearing while out and about?  It seems like it might be small enough to wear, but I'd worry about breaking it....

No, I wasn't going to wear it. I brought a plastic SC for that reason.(I literally threw that one in my bag :D )

I also have this Ocarina and I love the lovely Sounds. But I have a Question. I'm a beginner-musician and was wondering about the Notes, STL Fingering Chart says, Ocarina in G plays the Notes E3 to C5. But the Notes are much higher than on an Ocarina in C, so arent the Notes E4 to C6??

E3-C5 is Tenor G range. The Aria Alto G has a range of E5-C7.
