Older, Arthritic player needs advice. :)
« on: September 04, 2017, 02:46:49 PM »
Hi guys.
I bought an STL Elf and loving the look and sounds. Getting some good practice in and it's all coming together quite nicely,  BUT....
As an older player with arthritis and other health issues,  I'm finding that not only am I scared of dropping a beautiful instrument because there's no lanyard or attachment for one,  but the positioning of my wrists is going to give me problems in the future. It's a gorgeous instrument for playing,  but not for an hour's daily practice for me.... Soooooo....
I'm wondering if anyone can advise me on an ocarina model (preferably multi chambered because I KNOW I'm going to need one at some point and don't have money to buy another one later).
It needs to have a lanyard so I don't have to worry about dropping it, and something like a spearhead,  that has less angle on the wrists.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

It is light, is a good multi - AND is very affordable. It also sounds good.  I think the wrist angle is a little easier too.

Thanks,  I don't suppose you know of any sound samples for it?
