Kingdom Hearts: Dearly Beloved
« on: May 25, 2012, 11:36:48 AM »
Hey, I haven't posted on the forum before, but I've been using sheet music for a while and stalking the ocarinas for sale on STL's website. (I've got a clay ocarina, but I'll be needing an Ocarina of Time replica for my cosplay in November).

Anyway, I've always loved the song "Dearly Beloved" from Kingdom Hearts, and I was wondering if someone could set up the 12-hole Ocarina Tabs for me, since I'm really bad at reading sheet music (I've tried, and I've tried very hard, I promise, but I keep getting lost).

I know there are a lot of renditions of this song (they remake it for each game), but just something simple would be nice.

Here's a video of someone playing it on ocarina: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ln-S_aMVXnE

Thanks so much guys!

Someone has already tabbed a basic 12 hole dearly beloved here's a link to their tabs.

Is there an extended version of this song for 12 holes?

As far as I'm aware 12 hole ocarinas don't have enough range to properly perform an extended version there is however a youtube tutorial (https://youtu.be/7kPi6Ysoy2I)that goes low instead of high for the parts outside of the 12 holes range.

Another alternative to sheet music is to find a piano tutorial or other instrumental tabs that you could translate over by hand. There are tab makers that even have piano keyboards as an input option like this one here: http://www.stlocarina.com/fico.html

I find it simplest to have both the reference tabs/video and the tab maker open in separate windows so you can see them side by side.

If you follow the green notes on this video (https://youtu.be/qaGTLsQ3JhA) (with only a little tweaking to taste) I believe you could find a way to create tabs that might satisfy you. Though I still stand by 12 holes not having a large enough range to be perfectly in key.
